Madzie is built around local-first storage — there is no Madzie-run server or account database. Your journal data lives on your device, and optionally in a private folder in your own iCloud or Google Drive account. Deleting it is entirely self-service, in two parts.
This permanently deletes all journal entries from your device. If cloud sync is enabled, the same deletion is pushed to your private iCloud or Google Drive storage on the next sync, replacing the stored copy. Nothing is retained by Madzie anywhere else — there is no separate backup or retention period, since Madzie never had a copy to begin with.
If you enabled Google Drive sync, Madzie authorizes access via "Sign in with Google." To fully disconnect this at the source:
This immediately revokes Madzie's ability to read or write to your Drive storage. Apple users manage the equivalent iCloud access under their device's Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
